Mind Garden

These designs are based on my concerns of youth’s mental health, the issues and the reason behind them

In the scenes, the closed eyes and ears blocked by caution tape and stuffed with cotton symbolize rejection and lack of respect from the outside world. The dragon lurking behind embodies the Chinese idiom "hoping sons will become dragons, and daughters will become phoenixes," representing parental and self-expectations. The inability to meet these expectations can lead to feelings of inferiority and fear. The recurring figure in the scenes is a repairer, scavenger, and explorer of this world. They exist within the scene yet remain outsiders, rendering this private and subjective world more exposed and proactive, with greater potentialities.
